No less than 20 people were singed to death in Mineral, Odigbo Neighborhood Government Area of Ondo State on Monday

It was accumulated that the casualties were scooping fuel from a petroleum big hauler that fell and spilled it20 fuel scoopers consumed to death in Ondo big hauler mishaps substance along the Benin-Metal Sagamu Interstate on Monday.

As per an onlooker, the fire was lighted by a flash from a telephone held by one of the people who were scooping fuel.

The observer expressed that the casualties of the calamity included three kids and a pregnant lady who carried an amount of N100,000 to the scene to purchase fuel.

The observer said, “We were inside the congregation when the big hauler fell and spilled its items out and about. Not long after it tumbled down and spilled the fuel out and about, a few people raced to the spot to scoop fuel.

“Around then, the downpour was falling. Notwithstanding that, individuals actually surged there and began scooping fuel when the fire began after a flash from a telephone.

“At the scene, we have counted around three kids and more than 15 bodies we can’t distinguish, and furthermore a pregnant lady that needed to purchase the fuel likewise passed on in the episode. They were scorched to the point of being unrecognizable.”

At the point when reached, the state Police Advertising Official, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, affirmed the episode and portrayed the casualties as fuel scoopers.

“They were scooping fuel from a big hauler when the fire began. We have initiated an examination concerning the matter,” the PPRO expressed.
