2022: Super Eagles can qualify for Qatar without permutations

The Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) president Sam Ikpea says the Super Eagles can qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar without permutations.

Ikpea said this in Lagos on Wednesday, in the context of the Super Eagles’ two-legged qualifying matches for the World Cup against Les Fauves of the Central African Republic (CAR).

However, he pointed out that the Super Eagles must seal the qualification ticket for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar without the need for permutations.

The Nigerian News Agency (NAN) reports that the Eagles play the first leg against the CAR Wild Beast at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos on Thursday.

The return leg will be played on Sunday in Douala, Cameroon.

On his expectations, Ikpea said that the Super Eagles were already in pole position to clinch the only ticket from Group C without necessarily going through any last-minute races.

“The Eagles have started quite well, winning their first two games and pocketing the maximum six points.

“My prayer and advice to the team are that they should keep up the winning pace now that they have the opportunity without going through unnecessary pressure.
