A growing wave of endorsements is building across Edo South for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu ahead of the 2027 senatorial race, with party leaders, ward executives, and stakeholders expressing support for his ambition.
Across several local government areas, including Ovia, Uhunmwonde, Orhionmwon, Egor, Oredo, and Ikpoba-Okha, supporters have continued to rally behind Ize-Iyamu, describing him as a strong contender for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In Egor Local Government Area, party leaders said their support followed consultations and engagement with the aspirant’s vision for the district. They expressed confidence in his ability to strengthen the party’s chances in the election and provide effective representation.
Leaders in Oredo Local Government Area also pledged support, describing Ize-Iyamu as a longstanding party member with deep roots in the area.
Speaking on behalf of stakeholders in Egor, APC leader Barrister Gentleman Amego described Ize-Iyamu as an experienced politician with grassroots appeal.
Similarly, the APC Chairman in Oredo, Pa Osamudiamen Osarenkhoe, highlighted his contributions to party development over the years.
In Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, party members called on the leadership of the APC to consider Ize-Iyamu for the party’s senatorial ticket, citing his loyalty and support for party activities across the district.
Supporters also referenced his role in past political campaigns within the state as part of the basis for their endorsement.
With political activities gradually intensifying ahead of 2027, observers say the endorsements signal early positioning among aspirants within the district.
