307 POLICE OFFICERS DECORATED IN EDO STATE

The Commissioner of Police in Edo State, CP Monday Agbonika, fdc, has decorated 307 newly promoted officers of the Command in a colourful ceremony held at the Command’s Conference Hall, Benin City. The event marked a significant milestone in the professional careers of the officers.

CP Agbonika congratulated the promoted officers and charged them to redouble their commitment to duty, discipline, and professionalism. He reminded them that promotion comes with higher expectations and responsibilities, especially in a time when public trust and effective policing are paramount.

The CP stated, “This promotion is not just a reward for hard work but a call to serve with greater zeal and integrity. Let your new ranks reflect in your conduct, your dedication, and the protection of the people of Edo State.”

Among the promoted officers were Lafat S. Miri of the Public Relations Department, Joke Akinbowale of Ogida Division, Samuel Mellaba of the Provost Unit, and Influence Oghogho of the CIRRS.

ASP Femi Adebowale of the Control Room thanked the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun Ph.D, NPM, and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu Rtd, for approving the promotions, which serve as a morale booster for officers of the Force.

The Edo State Police Command extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the newly promoted officers and urges them to continue to uphold the ideals of the Nigeria Police Force in the discharge of their duties.
