Libyan Police Arrest Two Nigerians for Robbery in Tripoli

Police authorities in Tripoli, Libya, have arrested two Nigerian nationals for allegedly carrying out a series of robberies in the city.

According to Migrant Rescue Watch, an organization that monitors migrant activities, the suspects described as “undocumented migrants” were apprehended on August 25 after CCTV footage allegedly captured them robbing a convenience store.

The group noted that the two were linked to “multiple break-ins and robberies” targeting commercial stores, with the aim of stealing cash.

In a statement on Tuesday, Migrant Rescue Watch disclosed: “Police in Tripoli arrested 2 undocumented #migrants of Nigerian nationality responsible for series of break and entries and robberies. The accused were targeting commercial stores with the intent of seizing cash. The case was referred to public prosecutor.”
