The Delta State Police Command has arrested a 41-year-old suspect for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old girl in Ogborikoko, Delta State.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, the suspect was asked by the victim’s mother to watch over her children while she went to the market. However, the suspect took advantage of the situation and violently defiled the young girl.
Edafe warned parents to be mindful of their neighbors and to carefully select those they ask to care for their children in their absence.
The suspect is currently in police custody, and an investigation is ongoing.
