At least five people were killed in an accident in Mpape, a village near Maitama area of Abuja, on Thursday.
Punch determined that the accident was caused by a brake failure on the truck transporting sand.
Federal Road Safety Corps FCT Command Sector Commander Choly Mutter confirmed the incident and said his rescue team “recovered five bodies and 10 injured people.”
Mr Mutter added that 13 vehicles were involved in the accident, including a truck and a motorcycle.
