Maria Grazia Grippo, President of the Turin City Council, has been elected President of the Presidents of the City Councils of Piedmont. The election took place during the Regional Assembly of ANCI at the Metropolitan City headquarters, following a motion she proposed in October to reactivate the Regional Coordination of City Council Presidents.
Grippo emphasized the importance of ensuring proper regional representation within ANCI’s national bodies and strengthening the role of municipal councils. She highlighted ongoing collaboration with city council presidents from major cities, including Bologna, Rome, and Milan, to enhance council functions and address regulatory uncertainties.
She proposed establishing a working group to develop a regional regulation tailored to Piedmont’s needs. The assembly saw active participation from council presidents across the region, including representatives from Vercelli, Cuneo, and other municipalities.
