A tragic incident occurred in the Victoria Garden City area of Lagos State, where a man named Gihan Mbelu was found dead inside his vehicle. The 42-year-old man had parked his Mercedes C300 4Matic car and left it running for several hours while he remained motionless inside. Concerned residents, after noticing the stationary vehicle, approached it and tried to wake the occupant but were unsuccessful. They quickly rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Eyewitness Chukwudi Iwuchukwu shared the details of the incident on Facebook, expressing his belief that Mbelu may have succumbed to high blood pressure, a silent killer. He expressed concern about the alarming rate at which relatively young individuals are losing their lives to this condition.
In response to the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that an investigation into the matter has commenced.
