The Acting Chairman of Akoko Edo Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Alabi Bliss Oshionogue, has pledged the council’s support in combating Lassa fever.
He made the commitment while receiving the Council Health Committee Team at the Council Headquarters in Igarra. He assured that adequate logistics and support would be provided to ensure the success of an upcoming immunization programme, tagged “The Big Catch Up” (BCU), set to begin immediately.
“The well-being of our people is our top priority. Children must access Medicare for healthy growth. We are committed to quality healthcare in line with Governor Monday Okpebholo’s five-point agenda and international best practices,” he stated.
