Armed robbers were cut with four laptop in Edo State

News In Brief: Four laptops and one iPad that were allegedly snatched by some suspected armed robbers now on the run in Benin city have been recovered by men of the Edo state police command. The items were recovered in a moat on Lagos street linking Ibiwe street in Benin city. The owners of the laptops are yet to be identified. Consequently, members of the public who can easily recognize the attached items are expected to visit the office of the Anti Kidnapping Squad of the Edo state police command headquarters in Benin city with proof of ownership. Crime correspondent Festus Alenkhe also reports that a snatched Toyota Highlander jeep that was recovered by the police in Benin city is now looking for its owner. The vehicle has registration number No. EDO- DGE 524 AH. The police however advised anyone who owns the Highlander jeep to come to the state CID, Benin with proof of ownership for immediate collection

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo has re-emphasized 10 pm to 6 am curfew as the army begins a 24 hour 7-days sting operation to check criminality and insecurity in Edo state. The Army officials were in the Government House today to inform the Governor of the new security plan. The move is to destabilize and demobilize all criminal elements in the EDO state.
