The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, expressed profound sorrow over the tragic tanker explosion in Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa State. The explosion, which involved a fuel tanker, has claimed over 140 lives, with the latest reports putting the death toll at 147.
In a statement, Ganduje extended his heartfelt condolences to the people and government of Jigawa, emphasizing the devastating impact of the incident. He stated, “I am deeply saddened by the tanker explosion in Jigawa State, which has resulted in the loss of over 150 lives and left many others seriously injured.”
Mass burials have already been held for the victims, many of whom died while attempting to collect fuel from the wreckage.
