APC Denies Halting Nomination Form Sales for Edo Assembly Elections

The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports claiming that the party has stopped the sale and collection of nomination forms for the upcoming House of Assembly elections.

In a press statement issued on May 6, 2026, the party described the speculation as false and misleading, insisting that the process remains ongoing and fully active.

According to the statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Barr. Peter Uwadiae-Igbinigie, a total of 80 aspirants have so far purchased nomination forms. Of this number, 75 have completed and submitted their forms, while the party is still expecting submissions from five aspirants.

The APC reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent, inclusive, and orderly electoral process, noting that all activities are proceeding in line with established guidelines.
