APC Ward Secretary Dies After Collapsing on Farm in FCT

The Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gwargwada Ward, Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abdullahi Bala, has died after collapsing while returning home from his farm.

Confirming the incident, his brother, Ibrahim Bala, told reporters that Abdullahi, who appeared healthy earlier in the day, had gone to the farm alongside two of their younger siblings.

“After they finished working, they were walking back home when he suddenly slumped. They held him and quickly called someone, who came with a motorcycle to rush him to the hospital,” Ibrahim recounted.

He said Abdullahi was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. The late APC ward secretary was laid to rest shortly after, in accordance with Islamic burial rites.

Reacting to the tragic news, an APC chairmanship aspirant in Kuje Area Council, Danladi Abdullahi Galadima, described Abdullahi’s death as shocking and a significant loss to the party.

Galadima, who led a condolence visit to the bereaved family at their Gwargwada residence on Saturday, extolled the deceased’s commitment and loyalty to the party’s ideals.

“I received the news of his death with great shock. Abdullahi was a dedicated and reliable party man. This is a painful loss not only to his family but to the entire APC in Kuje Area Council,” Galadima said.

He urged the family to accept the incident as the will of Allah, noting that, “every soul shall taste death,” and prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul.

The passing of Abdullahi Bala has left a somber mood within the local APC fold, as members mourn the loss of one of their steadfast grassroots organisers.
