All is now set for the Armed Forces Remembrance Day taking place on December 14th 2023 to honour our heroes past.The Commissioner for Youth and Humanitarian Affairs, Hon Zubairu Dada Abubakar who disclosed this during a stakeholder meeting made up of the Military and other Uniformed men in Benin City said that the Armed Forces Remembrance Day is to ensure that the labours of our heroes past are not in vain.
The yearly activity will commence with the launching of the emblem to raise funds for the families of the fallen heroes on December 14, 2023 at the Festival Hall, Government House and the military parade on January 15, 2024.
The stakeholders meeting was attended by representatives of the Nigerian Army, the Police, Nigeria Civil Defense, Nigeria Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration, Nigeria Legion, Edo State Traffic and Management Agency, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigerian Airforce, Federal Fire service and staff of the Ministry of Youth and Humanitarian Affairs.
