Atiku loses Jigawa to Tinubu, who goes on to win 19 of 27 LGAs.

To be more specific, the presidential election in Jigawa State, in Northwest Nigeria, was won by Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Professor Muhammad Bashar, the resident electoral commissioner for INEC in the state, announced Tinubu’s victory with a tally of 421,390 votes on Monday at the state collation centre.

OKPEBHOLO APPROVES MAJOR RESTRUCTURING OF EDO STATE MINISTRIES

Mr Bashar claimed victory against People Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar, who garnered 386,587 votes.

Mr Tinubu’s victory was decided by a margin of 34,803.

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the candidate for the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP), received 98,234 votes, while Peter Obi, the candidate for the Labour Party, received 1,889.
