As the first Chairman of the Board of Patrons, Boys’ Brigade, Edo State Council Nigeria, Justice Ikponmwen who described the appointment as God doing, said this is a wake up call to do more for the youths in the society and she appealed to other patrons to support the Boys’ Brigade to be able to reach out to the youths because nothng is too small to help the society at this times.

The President, Boys’s Brigade, Edo State Council Nigeria, Sir (Dr.) B. J Braire said the goal of the Boys’ Brigade is to impact the society and to redirect the younger ones in the right direction with the word of God as a guide, adding that the Board of Patrons will act as checks and play advisory roles for spiritual growth and development of the youths.

He noted that part of the challenges which the Boys’ Brigade faces to be able to reach out to the youths is the lack of funding and most of the patrons are not paying their yearly dues which makes it difficult for the state council to perform.

The President who appealed to the Patrons to also use their goodwill to invite members that will support the Boys’ Brigade also urged the new government in Edo State to support the Boys’ Brigade in the state.

While disclosing that the Boys’ Brigade week will commence on the 27th of April 2025, for action to support the ministry, the President said certificates will be issued to those who perform very well.

The other members of the Board of Patrons who also took the oath of office and prayer said this is a call to service and commended the President, Sir B.J Braie for leaving his comfort zone for the interest of the younger generation and they promised to join hands with the President to ensure that the Boys’ Brigade Edo Council succeeds.
