The Association of People with Albinism in Ekiti State has raised concerns about the rising number of cases of skin cancer and the number of members who have died from it, urging the government, organizations, and well-meaning citizens to help. “Skin cancer is a deadly ailment disturbing Persons With Albinism in the sub-Saharan region of Africa due to the high intensity of sun,” Mr. Johnson Oniya, the association's chairman, stated. He lamented that members were unable to afford the high cost of skin cancer prevention. This was while he said that countries were treated unfairly as a result of the Covid-19 vaccination and called for cooperation to improve local vaccine production capacity. He spoke in Abuja during the transfer of the pentavalent vaccine to Nigeria from Indonesia. He stated, "We believe your contribution will go a long way as Nigeria is accelerating to close that gap. Nigeria is in dire need of vaccines to close the gap of zero-dose children." It is crucial to demonstrate our support for the South-South collaboration route. We have long endured injustice as a result of the Covid-19 vaccination.
