CDCFIB Reopens Recruitment Portal After Temporary Suspension

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially reopened its recruitment application portal as of Monday, July 21, 2025, allowing applicants to resume and complete their submissions.

‎In a press statement issued Sunday night, the agency acknowledged widespread public frustration over technical difficulties that plagued the initial application phase. It attributed the disruptions to an overwhelming number of applicants, which the system was initially unable to accommodate.

‎ “We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians who wish to serve their country. The interruption was regrettable but necessary to upgrade the system for a smoother experience,” the statement read.

‎The portal, originally launched on Monday, July 14, had been temporarily suspended on July 17 to improve performance and enhance user accessibility. The reopening now allows previously registered applicants to retrieve and complete their applications seamlessly.

‎The ongoing recruitment covers four key paramilitary agencies:

‎Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)

‎Nigerian Correctional Service

‎Federal Fire Service

‎Nigeria Immigration Service

‎The CDCFIB reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and fairness, assuring applicants that the process will be merit-based and free from bias.

‎ “We sincerely apologize for the earlier inconvenience and assure all applicants that this process remains committed to equity, transparency, and national service,” the statement concluded.

‎Intrested candidates are encouraged to visit the portal promptly and ensure the completion of their applications within the stipulated timeframe.
