CHARLES IMOLOAME a.k.a (Charlimo)
Charlimo Imoloame is a seasoned guitarist, performer, composer and a music copyright activist. He is a graphic designer of great repute in Nigeria and a business man.
Apart from so many industrial productions, corporate logos he created, Charlimo designed musical albums for great Nigerian artiste including : , FELIX LEBERTY, FREEMAN CHI, STELLA MONYE, FELIX DUKE, CHRISTIAN NEGUS, ALEX O., KING WALEMAN, TELES NKONO, other great names include TAR UKO, AKEEM OLAJUWON, ORITS WILLIKI, ISAAC BLACK, ONYEKA ONWENU, LEMMY JACKSON, SUNNY OKOSUNS, SEGUN ARINZE, MAJEK FASHEK, DREADY SAMIKO, etc. just to mention a few. The album Tribulation by Orits Williki won him the national award of the best sleeve design in 1990 at the Nigeria Music Awards.
Charlimo was Lagos State PMAN chairman from 1994 – 1996, and he became the PMAN national vice president from 1997 – 1999. He served in many committees and he was seconded to the board of the Nigeria Association of Recording Industries (NARI) where he became the vice chairman on the publicity committee on Hologram music security protection.
Charlimo Imoloame became a director on the board of Performing and Mechanical Rights Society of Nigeria (PMRS), from 2008 – 2010 and became a director on the Board of the Copyright Society Of Nigeria (COSON), from 2010 -2012. He is the current National Coordinator of the Nigeria Music Club (NMC)
A servant of the music industry, Charlimo was appointed into the interim government of PMAN 2015 to join other compatriots revamp the failing association with a view to set up structures to cater for a growing industry.
On short notice, Charlimo still performs with his band The Veterans, on various occasions and with up to date high-tech equipment. As Christian, he is married with lovely children.
