Nollywood actor and film director, Charles Inojie, has called out a Madrasa school in Kwara state for brutally flogging their students.
Charles Inojie who hails from Edo state took to his Instagram page and called out an Islamic school in Ilorin, Kwara State for aiding the mercilessly beating students.
The talented actor shared videos of the alleged beating. The videos revealed that the students were beaten by five senior students of the school. The senior students gathered around them holding a cane and beat them to stupor.
They beat the student with the cane at intervals while the student was lying on the bare floor and the teachers watched him being dehumanized. Even though he withheld the name of the school.
According to the report, the students were severely beaten because they attended a friend’s birthday party. The students shared pictures of the birthday celebration online and their teachers taught that they drank alcohol on the birthday.
Inojie condemned the act stating that there is nothing the students could have done that would have warranted such dehumanizing treatment.
“Whatever offense they could have committed, the school should have other means of administering discipline than this brazen display of barbarism”, he wrote.
The actor has thereby called on the Kwara State government to look into the matter otherwise they would be raising criminals as students.
“Over to you Kwara State government. You must redeem yourself before the whole world, otherwise, you would only have succeeded in raising hardened criminals that would turn around to terrorize the society tomorrow” he wrote.
As usual, Nigerians have something to say. Some Instagram users commented:
