Benin City, Edo State The Edo Women Vanguard, a prominent organization dedicated to advocating for women’s rights and empowerment under the leadership of Hon. Sweet Oghogho, recently paid a courtesy visit to Chief Barr. Olabisi Idaomi, the esteemed Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development.

This visit was strategically aimed at fostering collaboration between the Edo Women Vanguard and the Commissioner’s office, with a strong focus on promoting various facets of women’s empowerment throughout Edo State. The gathering provided a crucial platform for engaging in meaningful discussions about pressing issues affecting women, including economic empowerment, access to quality education, healthcare services, and comprehensive social protection mechanisms.

Chief Barr. Olabisi Idaomi holds a critical position as the Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development, where she is instrumental in shaping and implementing policies and programs that have a significant influence on the lives of women in the state. Her office is responsible for overseeing various initiatives that not only promote the economic empowerment of women but also ensure the protection of vulnerable groups and encourage broader social development.

Highlights of the event was when Hon. Sweet Oghogho presented a gift to Chief Barr. Bisi Idaomi. This gift symbolized the Edo Women Vanguard’s deep esteem and recognition of the Commissioner’s tireless efforts and dedication to advancing women’s empowerment and fostering social progress within Edo State.

In her response, Chief Barr.
