During the inspection, Agbonika interacted with applicants and urged them to perform to the best of their abilities. He reassured them that the recruitment process is free, transparent, and strictly merit-based, giving all qualified candidates equal opportunity to serve in the Nigeria Police Force.

The police commissioner commended officers of the Nigeria Police Force and personnel of the Police Service Commission for maintaining a high level of professionalism and organization throughout the exercise. He expressed satisfaction with the smooth coordination and orderly conduct observed at the centre.

Agbonika also evaluated the security arrangements put in place for the exercise, which began on April 28, 2026. He expressed confidence in the measures deployed, noting that they have ensured a peaceful and hitch-free environment for both candidates and officials.

He was received at the venue by senior officials, including the Nigeria Police Force Recruitment Team Leader, DCP John Paul Echetah; the Police Service Commission Team Leader, Joel Akoko; Commandant of the Police Training School, ACP Aigbe Aghahowa; ACP Margaret Oyakhiere (Medical); ACP Nasirudeen Oyedele (State Intelligence Department); and Police Service Commission Secretary, Donald Aohiojie, among others.

The Edo State Police Command reiterated its commitment to upholding professionalism, transparency, and excellence in line with the standards set by the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the Police Service Commission, ensuring that only qualified candidates are recruited into the force.
