I wish to on behalf of the Caretaker C’ttee of the NYCN, Edo State chapter inform on the following;
- That the attention of the Caretaker C’ttee has been drawn to the discrepancies in the list of affiliated VYOs in Edo State i.e Numbers of affiliate organizations and contact details of Head of VYOs.
- The clash in date of the 2022 Edo State and the National Management Committee meeting scheduled for 27-30 November, 2022
- The Pragmatic effort of the VP, South – South Comrade Innocent Ajayi in communicating the decision of the National Executive Council (NEC) on the national constitutional supremacy to state, LGA and affiliate organizations as it borders on Edo State 2022 Congress and Election.
Subsequently, with the Caretaker C’ttee determination to uniting the NYCN, Edo State chapter by having an all inclusive Edo 2022 Congress and Election, we resolved as follows;
- We call on all VYOs in Edo to stay calm and continue to be law abiding as we are in a critical phase of making the Council an enviable one again.
- The Caretaker C’ttee will immediately have robust consultations with all relevant stakeholders of the NYCN.
- To pay a Schedule meeting to the supervising ministry (Ministry of Youth and Gender Issues) of the NYCN, Edo State Chapter on Monday 28th November 2022, in a bid to resolving the Issues in the list of affiliate organizations to the NYCN.
- An emergency meeting between the caretaker C’ttee, CPC and ELECO will be held same Monday 28th November, 2022 in the Youth House to brainstorm on the possible way forward.
