The Delta State Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old man, Daniel Onyejekwe, in connection with the murder of Christian Goodluck in Sapele on New Year’s Day.
According to a statement by the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, Onyejekwe intervened in a quarrel between Goodluck and his mother. The situation escalated into a physical altercation between Onyejekwe and Goodluck, during which both men used a broken bottle.
Onyejekwe allegedly stabbed Goodluck with the bottle, inflicting injuries that led to his death shortly after. The police have taken Onyejekwe into custody in connection with the murder.
The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of controlling one’s temper, especially during emotional situations.
