Despite leaving Rivers Hoopers, Eke has expressed his gratitude and affection for the team, saying, “Rivers Hoopers will always have a special place in my heart and they all know that over there.” Eke’s decision to join ASC Ville de Dakar is a testament to his commitment to growing his basketball career and representing Africa on the global stage.

A Journey of Growth and Development
Eke’s journey in basketball has been marked by significant milestones, including his participation in the NBA Summer League with the Milwaukee Bucks and his selection by the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League Draft. He has also played for various G League teams, including the Delaware Blue Coats, Mexico City Capitanes, and the San Diego Clippers.
With his impressive skills and experience, Eke is expected to make a significant impact in BAL Season 5. He will join forces with former Rivers Hoopers teammate Will Perry at ASC Ville de Dakar, and together, they will aim to lead their team to victory in the Sahara Conference.
The Kalahari Conference in Rabat, Morocco is already underway, with the Sahara Conference to follow. The Nile Conference will take place in Kigali from May 17-25. The playoffs, featuring the best two teams from each conference and the two best third-placed teams across the three conferences, will be held in Pretoria, South Africa from June 6-14.
Eke’s signing with ASC Ville de Dakar is a significant step forward for African basketball. As one of the continent’s most promising young players, Eke’s success in the BAL will inspire a new generation of African basketballers and help to grow the sport across the continent.
