DHQ: Soldiers Rescue 36 People Wey Terrorists kidnap, Dem pkai big Terrorist Men for Borno, Katsina.
Defence Headquarters (DHQ) don announce say Nigerian security forces don rescue 36 people wey armed terrorists abduct during different military operations for Borno and Katsina States.
According to military authorities, the operations na part of the ongoing fight against terrorism, kidnapping and other armed criminal activities for different parts of northern Nigeria.
During the operations, troops no only succeed for rescuing the abducted persons, but dem also take down some important terrorist commanders, together with other fighters wey dey operate under terrorist groups.
For Borno State, where terrorist activities don continue to affect many communities for years, troops carry out offensive operations against terrorist positions and hideouts. The soldiers move into areas suspected to be used by the fighters and engage them as part of efforts to weaken their operations.
The military say some terrorists were neutralised during the encounters, while the troops continue their movement to search for other criminals and make sure say civilians wey dey trapped or abducted by the groups get freedom.
The rescue of the 36 abducted persons na another major part of the operation, as security forces continue to target groups wey dey make money and create fear through kidnapping and other violent activities.
For Katsina State, troops also carry out operations against armed terrorists and criminal elements wey dey disturb communities for the state. The operations lead to encounters between the soldiers and the armed groups, with some of the terrorists reportedly killed.
Military personnel also recover some weapons and other materials during the operations, according to the Defence Headquarters.
The latest military successes come at a time when security agencies across northern Nigeria dey increase operations against terrorist groups, bandits and kidnappers. These armed groups don for years attack communities, abduct residents, demand ransom and force some families to leave their homes.
For many affected communities, the rescue of abducted persons fit bring some relief to families wey don spend days, weeks or even longer periods without knowing the condition of their loved ones.
But despite the successes wey security forces dey record, serious security challenges still dey remain for some parts of northern Nigeria. Terrorist attacks, banditry and kidnapping continue to threaten the safety of civilians and affect normal economic activities in some communities.

The latest operations therefore show the continued effort by Nigerian security forces to put pressure on armed groups and stop them from using remote communities and forest areas as bases for carrying out attacks and abductions.
For families of the 36 people wey don regain their freedom, however, the rescue means say their loved ones fit finally return home after being in the hands of armed groups.
