‎Edo APC Suspends Hon. Valentine Asuen for Indiscipline

The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended Hon. Valentine Asuen following allegations of conduct deemed detrimental to party unity.

‎‎In a statement signed by Barr. Peter Uwadiae Igbinigie, the State Publicity Secretary, the party accused Asuen of actions that violated the party’s constitution and fostered division among members. The suspension, enacted under Article 21 of the APC Constitution (2022, as amended), outlines disciplinary measures for members whose behaviour threatens the party’s cohesion.

‎‎The Edo APC emphasized its unwavering commitment to internal discipline and internal democracy, adding that it would not tolerate acts capable of destabilizing the party or creating disaffection among members.

‎‎Additionally, the party addressed rumours that Law Secretary Lawrence Okah had influenced party appointments. The APC refuted these claims, stating that Governor Monday Okpebholo’s appointments have been equitably distributed across Edo State, including Oredo Local Government.

‎‎The party urged members to remain focused and unified while reaffirming its dedication to advancing good governance and delivering democratic dividends to the people of Edo State.
