The Edo State Government has officially announced the appointment of Dr. Amen Ogbemudia as the new Director-General of the Directorate of Education Quality Assurance (DEQA).
Governor Monday Okpebholo approved Dr. Ogbemudia’s appointment in recognition of her vast experience and outstanding contributions to the field of educational management and administration.
According to the release, Dr. Amen Ogbemudia is a seasoned educationist with over a decade of progressive leadership in education management. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Education from Benson Idahosa University, a Master’s degree in Educational Management, and a Doctorate in Educational Administration from the University of Benin.
Described as a capacity builder, skilled writer, strategy developer, and motivational speaker, Dr. Ogbemudia brings to the role a track record of innovation, diligence, and commitment to educational reform and quality assurance.
The statement noted that her appointment is part of Governor Okpebholo’s broader SHINE agenda for repositioning the state’s education sector and ensuring global standards in public learning institutions.
The government further expressed confidence in her capacity to lead the Directorate of Education Quality Assurance to new heights, emphasizing that her leadership would drive critical reforms in school supervision, curriculum quality control, and performance evaluation across Edo State.
Dr. Amen Ogbemudia is expected to resume duties immediately.
