Edo State Commissioner for Youth and Gender Issues, Hon. Andrew Emwanta Esq. JP has said that Edo State Government is committed to putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged in the state
The Commissioner disclosed this during the Christmas Party organized by the Ministry for children in collaboration with the Dennis Aikoriogie Foundation in Benin City
Hon. Emwanta and the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Peter Osagie who led the dance floor with other staff of the Ministry thanked the care givers of the various orphanages and schools for their commitment towards taking care of the children.
According to the Commissioner, Edo State Government is committed to ensuring that the interest of the less privileged children are taken care of at all times and he assured that by the grace of God the year 2023 will witness more better celebrations to fete the children.
The Permanent Secretary thanked the State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, The Secretary to the state government, Osarodion Ogie Esq. and the Dennis Aikhriogie foundation for their dedication towards ameliorating the plight of the less privileged in the state and making the event successful.
The founder of Dennis Aikoriogie foundation, Dr. Dennis Aikoriogie, who was represented by Akachikwu Mbata said they decided to collaborate with the Ministry of Youth and Gender Issues to organize the Christmas Party because they know that these children need love and support.
According to her, the founder of the foundation is passionately driven in humanitarian activities, giving back to the society and human development.
The Christmas party was fun, with lots of food, drinks, dancing competitions, bouncing castle for the kids and merrymaking with father Christmas giving gifts to the children from some orphanage homes and other children present.
