Edo Police Command Hosts Nigeria Army College of Logistics Leadership Course Participants

The Edo State Police Command on Tuesday, 1st July 2025, played host to participants of the Senior Leadership and Staff Officers Course 3/2025 from the Nigeria Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Ojo-Lagos.

The delegation, led by Directing Staff, Naval Captain N. Lawali, was received at the Command Headquarters in Benin City by the Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Agbonika, fdc, and members of the Command’s management team.

 

In his address, Capt. Lawali conveyed the compliments of the Commandant of NACOLM, Maj Gen Wisdom Etuk, and stated that the visit was part of the course’s practical module aimed at equipping student officers with firsthand leadership and management insights, as well as strengthening inter-agency synergy in national security operations.

 

While welcoming the visitors, CP Agbonika delivered a presentation titled “Optimising National Security Through a Whole of Society Approach”, where he outlined strategies employed by the Edo State Police Command to combat crime, including visibility policing, community partnership initiatives, inter-agency collaboration, and zero-tolerance policing.

 

The police chief emphasized the significance of sustained collaboration among security agencies, government institutions, and community stakeholders in maintaining peace and security in the state and the country at large. He urged the student officers to apply the insights gained from their training and field visits to improve operational effectiveness in their respective assignments.

 

In his vote of thanks, Major F. Jimoh, speaking on behalf of the student officers, expressed deep appreciation for the warm reception and engaging lecture by the Edo Police Command. He assured that the officers would leverage the lessons learned to enhance security operations across the nation.

 

The visit was rounded off with an exchange of souvenirs between both institutions and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
