Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has approved the redeployment of the Managing Director of the Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS), Mr. Suleiman Aledeh, to the Edo State Orientation Agency, where he will serve as the pioneer Director-General with immediate effect.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq.
According to the statement, Mr. Festus Alenkhe has been appointed Acting Managing Director of the Edo Broadcasting Service pending the appointment of a substantive Managing Director.
The state government said the move is part of ongoing administrative reforms aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and improving resource management across key sectors of the state’s administration.
The government noted that Aledeh’s redeployment reflects confidence in his professional competence and ability to drive the mandate of the Edo State Orientation Agency, particularly in the areas of civic engagement, values reorientation, and public communication.
It commended Aledeh for his contributions to public service broadcasting and institutional development during his tenure at EBS and wished him success in his new role.
The government also expressed confidence in Alenkhe’s ability to provide leadership at EBS and ensure continuity in the station’s operations while maintaining professional broadcasting standards.
The appointments take immediate effect.
