It should come as no surprise that Edo State, under the leadership of Commissioner of Education Dr Joan Oviawe, whose top priority is to make Edo first class in the system, has been demonstrating its commitment and dedication to the education agenda through a number of programs, initiatives, reforms, and partnerships with the private sector and international organizations since 2018. The Ministry of Education, in light of this, has prepared for a fruitful Education Week.
Edo Education Week is a series of hybrid events with the topic “Education for Alaghodaro; Investing in Quality Education and Access for our Children and Youth,” which brings together people from all around the education community in Edo State, Nigeria, Africa, and the world.
The major goal of Education Week is to showcase the Edo state government’s commitment to education.
