Egor Council Chairman Donates Generator to Boost Water Supply at Ugbowo Primary School

In a bid to improve the welfare of pupils in Egor Local Government Area, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Dr. Kelvin Ighodaro Eguakun, has donated a generating set to Ugbowo Primary School to power its newly-installed borehole and ensure steady access to clean water.

Presenting the equipment, Dr. Eguakun stressed the importance of potable water to the health and wellbeing of school children, adding that the provision would not only promote hygiene but also enhance the overall cleanliness of the learning environment.

The Headmistress, Mrs. Edovia Ann, who received the generator on behalf of the school, expressed gratitude to the Chairman, describing him as a “God-sent leader.” She noted that his prompt action in fulfilling promises had taken many by surprise and was deeply appreciated by the school community.

The joyous pupils, visibly excited, welcomed the Chairman with cheers, further brightening the occasion. Responding, Dr. Eguakun urged the school authorities and pupils to safeguard the equipment and ensure it is put to good use for the benefit of all.

The Chairman also commended the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for his continued support, describing the intervention as a reflection of the Governor’s commitment to the welfare of Edo people.
