Eid-el-Fitr: APC Edo Charges Citizens on Unity, Kindness, Nation-Building

The Edo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Edo State, across Nigeria, and beyond on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a goodwill message signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Barr. Peter Uwadiae-Igbinigie, the party described Eid-el-Fitr as a sacred festival that signifies the completion of a period devoted to spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and unwavering devotion to Allah.

The APC noted that beyond celebration, the season presents an opportunity for citizens to renew their commitment to unity, peace, and compassion. It called on residents to strengthen family ties, promote harmony within communities, and extend support to the less privileged.

According to the statement, “Eid-el-Fitr is a time to embrace tolerance, understanding, and the virtues of generosity and empathy that bind us together as a people.”

The party reaffirmed its commitment to the development of Edo State, emphasizing its resolve to promote inclusive governance, equitable growth, and opportunities that improve the lives of citizens.

It further urged all residents of the state, irrespective of religious or ethnic backgrounds, to work together in fostering peace, unity, and sustainable development.

The APC also prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the faithful, seeking acceptance of prayers, forgiveness of shortcomings, and the grant of peace, good health, and prosperity for all.
