Ekiti Government Extends Teachers’ Retirement Age to 65

The Ekiti State Government has announced an extension of the retirement age for teachers from 60 to 65 years and increased the service year from 35 to 40 years. This decision aims to retain experienced educators in the state’s education sector.

The government also rewarded outstanding teachers with cash gifts totaling N46 million.
