In the wake of a tragic bank robbery in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has called upon the state’s security agencies to apprehend the culprits responsible for the senseless act that claimed three lives and left several others injured on Wednesday.

Governor Oyebanji expressed his deep condolences to the families of the victims, the Ogoga-in-Council, and the people of Ikere-Ekiti. He emphasized that no efforts would be spared in ensuring that those responsible for the heinous crime face the full weight of the law.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Yinka Oyebode, the governor directed government hospitals in the state to provide adequate care for the individuals injured during the robbery. He underscored the importance of local vigilance in enhancing security and urged citizens with any relevant information to assist the security agencies in their investigations.

“The perpetrators of this heinous crime will not go unpunished. Our security agencies will go after them and ensure they face the guilt and wrath of the law. Our condolences to the families of victims of the robbery attack and the Ikere people,” Governor Oyebanji declared.

Encouraging calmness and vigilance among the people, the governor reassured the citizens of the government’s commitment to their security and safety. He pledged unwavering efforts to rid the state of criminal elements and called on residents to go about their daily activities with confidence.
