In a tragic incident at the Yaba Magistrate’s Court, Taiye Adebayo has been remanded for allegedly stabbing his colleague, Shonibare Surajudeen, to death during a quarrel.
The cause of the altercation remains undisclosed.
Adebayo, facing a murder charge, allegedly used a knife in the confrontation. Surajudeen, aged 36, succumbed to his injuries despite being rushed to Mainland General Hospital. The court, following the prosecutor’s request, remanded Adebayo to Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions. The case is adjourned until January 22, 2024.
