    First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Mourns Victims of Afriland Fire Disaster

    First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic fire disaster at Afriland Towers in Lagos, which claimed ten lives. She condoled with the families, friends, and loved ones of the victims, Governor Babajide Sanwoolu, and the people of Lagos state

    Mrs. Tinubu prayed for the quick recovery of the injured and the peaceful repose of the departed souls. Her message reads: “I condole with the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu, the people of the State, Corporate Organisations including Federal Internal Revenue Service and United Bank for Africa over the tragic fire outbreak at Afriland Towers that claimed ten lives. May God comfort the families and loved ones of the departed and the injured.”

    The fire broke out at Afriland Towers, a commercial building housing multiple corporate offices, including FIRS and UBA. It originated in the inverter room, causing smoke to engulf multiple floors, panic, and trapping occupants.
