FRSC 2026 Recruitment Opens July 3: Full Application Guide, Eligibility Requirements and Key Deadlines.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the commencement of its 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise, with the online application portal set to open on Friday, July 3, 2026.
The recruitment offers qualified Nigerians the opportunity to join the Corps across multiple cadres, including the Officer Cadre, Marshal Inspectorate Cadre, and Road Marshal Assistant Cadre. According to the FRSC, applications will remain open for four weeks from the commencement date and must be submitted exclusively through the agency’s official recruitment portal.
The Corps emphasized that the recruitment process is completely free, warning prospective applicants to disregard individuals or organizations demanding payment in exchange for employment opportunities.
Available Recruitment Categories
The 2026 exercise covers three major categories:
Officer Cadre: Open to candidates with qualifications such as Bachelor’s degrees, Higher National Diplomas (HND), and professionals including medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, engineers, lawyers, and medical laboratory scientists, depending on the specific position.
Marshal Inspectorate Cadre: Applicants with National Diploma (ND), National Certificate in Education (NCE), Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM), and Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) qualifications are eligible to apply.
Road Marshal Assistant Cadre: This category is designed for candidates with at least three credits in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), including English Language and Mathematics. It also accommodates skilled artisans such as mechanics, electricians, plumbers, computer operators, tailors, drivers, and motorcycle riders with relevant trade certifications.
General Eligibility Requirements
The FRSC outlined several mandatory conditions for applicants:
– Applicants must be Nigerians by birth.
– Candidates should be medically and physically fit.
– Applicants must possess the educational qualifications required for their chosen cadre.
– Professional licences and trade certificates must be presented where applicable.
– Male applicants must have a minimum height of 1.65 metres, while female applicants must be at least 1.58 metres tall.
– Applicants seeking driver or rider positions must possess valid driver’s licences corresponding to the class of vehicle they intend to operate.
– Candidates are expected to have basic computer literacy.
How to Apply
Interested applicants are required to complete their applications online through the official FRSC recruitment portal beginning July 3, 2026. Candidates should carefully fill out the application form, upload all required documents, submit their applications within the stipulated period, and print their completed application forms for future screening exercises if shortlisted.
The FRSC reiterated that no application fee is required at any stage of the recruitment process and urged applicants to rely only on official information released by the Corps.
