Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State don officially commission the rehabilitated runway for Nigerian Air Force Base for Port Harcourt. During di commissioning ceremony, Fubara make am clear say di new runway no be only about cement, asphalt and construction work. Di Governor praise Nigerian Air Force as one of di main security institutions for Nigeria, noting say officers, airmen and airwomen dey make plenty sacrifice to protect communities, critical infrastructure and national assets. E also appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for di efforts to strengthen Nigeria armed forces and improve national security.
Fubara say security na di foundation for economic growth because businesses, investors and ordinary citizens need safe environment before dem fit properly work and prosper. E explain say Rivers State get special responsibility because di state na one of Nigeria major oil and gas centres, meaning say protecting pipelines, waterways, communities and other infrastructure for di state get direct connection with Nigeria economy.
