Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State don officially commission the rehabilitated runway for Nigerian Air Force Base for Port Harcourt. Di Governor say di project na one strong way wey Rivers State dey support di military for protecting Nigeria and especially di country important oil and gas assets.

During di commissioning ceremony, Fubara make am clear say di new runway no be only about cement, asphalt and construction work. According to am, di project na practical sign say Rivers State dey stand solid behind di Nigerian Air Force and oda security agencies wey dey put their lives for line to protect di country.

Di Governor praise Nigerian Air Force as one of di main security institutions for Nigeria, noting say officers, airmen and airwomen dey make plenty sacrifice to protect communities, critical infrastructure and national assets. E also appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for di efforts to strengthen Nigeria armed forces and improve national security.

Fubara say security na di foundation for economic growth because businesses, investors and ordinary citizens need safe environment before dem fit properly work and prosper. E explain say Rivers State get special responsibility because di state na one of Nigeria major oil and gas centres, meaning say protecting pipelines, waterways, communities and other infrastructure for di state get direct connection with Nigeria economy.

Di rehabilitated runway go help di Air Force improve di way dem dey operate aircraft for Port Harcourt. E fit make air operations safer and more efficient, while also helping security personnel respond faster when emergency or security threats happen for di Niger Delta.

Fubara further talk say di improved facility go support di ongoing fight against crude oil theft, illegal oil refining, pipeline vandalism and oda criminal activities wey dey affect Nigeria oil production and government revenue. Di better air facility fit also make surveillance and rapid response operations easier for security forces.

Di Governor thank di Chief of Air Staff, Air Force commanders, officers and personnel for their service and sacrifice. E also praise di engineers, contractors and everybody wey contribute to making sure say di runway rehabilitation project reach completion.
