Get Me Nigerian Passport” – IShowSpeed Jokes With Seyi Tinubu At 2026 World Cup Fina

American streamer Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. had a viral moment with Seyi Tinubu at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday.

The 21-year-old content creator was in the VIP section of the New York/New Jersey Stadium when he met Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, and his children. Seyi was wearing a Spain jersey as he watched Spain beat Argentina 1-0 to lift the World Cup.

In a clip from IShowSpeed’s livestream, a member of Seyi’s entourage walked up to him and pointed out the president’s son. Speed then walked over, greeted the family, took photos with the children, and shook hands with Seyi.

“It is nice meeting you,” Seyi Tinubu told the streamer.

In a light-hearted moment, Speed turned to the family and said: *“Tell your dad to get me a Nigerian passport!”* The comment drew laughter before he continued his livestream.

The joke quickly went viral on X, with the video shared by Vanguard and other outlets.

*Speed’s Connection To Nigeria*
This isn’t Speed’s first time in Nigeria. He visited Lagos months ago during his “Speed Does Africa” tour and got a huge reception from fans.

During that trip he livestreamed around Lagos Island, Freedom Park, and the Nike Art Gallery. He also linked up with Nigerian music stars Davido and Zlatan Ibile, and celebrated his 21st birthday in the country.

Earlier on Sunday, Speed also featured in the World Cup closing ceremony. He performed his new single “World Cup (Champions)” alongside drummers and dancers before kickoff.Get Me Nigerian Passport" – IShowSpeed Jokes With Seyi Tinubu At 2026 World Cup Fina

The interaction with Seyi Tinubu added another Nigerian moment to Speed’s growing ties with the country, and his passport joke has since sparked plenty of reactions online from fans who say they wouldn’t mind seeing him become an honorary Nigerian.
