Gov Okpebholo Charges New Commissioner Momodu to Advance SHINE Agenda

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has sworn in Hon. Andrew Momodu as a Commissioner in the Edo State Executive Council, charging him to always protect the interests of the people of the state.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Governor’s Office, Government House, Benin City.

Speaking shortly after administering the oath of office, Governor Okpebholo congratulated the new commissioner and urged him to work closely with the administration in delivering on the government’s SHINE Agenda aimed at improving the lives of Edo people.

The governor described Momodu as a hardworking individual capable of contributing meaningfully to the administration’s commitment to good governance.

“I congratulate you. You are fortunate to be coming in at a time when we are almost done swearing in commissioners. I know you are hardworking and capable, which is why you were chosen for this responsibility. Go out and do your best to protect the interests of Edo people,” the governor said.

In his response, Hon. Andrew Momodu thanked God and Governor Okpebholo for the opportunity to serve the people of Edo State.

He described the appointment as a rare privilege and assured the governor and the people of the state of his commitment to support the administration in delivering good governance.

“I am here to key into the programmes of Governor Okpebholo and add value to the administration’s vision. I will work with the governor to ensure that Edo people benefit from the policies and programmes of this government,” he said.

Momodu also commended the governor’s leadership, assuring residents that he would contribute his quota to the administration’s efforts to bring development and prosperity to the state.
