The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has expressed deep condolences to the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, following the death of his mother, Mrs. Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa, who passed away on April 8, 2026, at the age of 95.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the governor described her death as a profound and painful loss, noting that the passing of a mother leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of loved ones, regardless of age.
Okpebholo paid tribute to the late matriarch, highlighting her life of love, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to her family. He added that her enduring legacy would continue to inspire all who knew her.
The governor prayed for strength, courage, and fortitude for the deputy governor and the entire Idahosa family during this difficult time. He also prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul.
He reaffirmed that the thoughts and prayers of the Edo State Government and its people are with the family as they mourn their loss.
