The Edo State Government wishes to inform the general public that His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Governor of Edo State, has approved the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Rita Otibho Erewele as Chairman, Edo State Senior Secondary Education Board.
Dr Erewele succeeds Dr Maureen O. Ekhoragbon, who has been relieved of her duties with immediate effect.
An accomplished educationist and seasoned administrator, Dr. (Mrs.) Rita Otibho Erewele brings to the position over two decades of progressive experience in Nigeria’s education sector. She holds a Doctorate (PhD) in Educational Administration and Planning, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Education, all from the University of Benin.
Throughout her distinguished career, Dr Erewele has served in various leadership and professional capacities, including as a lecturer, education consultant, and senior education officer. Her extensive contributions to policy development, teacher training, and curriculum innovation have earned her recognition for excellence in academic leadership and educational reform.
She is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP) and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
Her appointment takes immediate effect.
