GOVERNOR ENO TELL NYSC CORPERS: MAKE UNA HELP BUILD AKWA IBOM STATE AS UNA DEY SERVE.
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, don call on members of di 2026 Batch B Stream Two NYSC wey dem post go Akwa Ibom make dem put hand for di development of di state during dia one year national service.
Governor Eno make dis call through di Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, wey represent am for di official closing ceremony of di NYSC orientation course for di camp wey dey Nsit Atai Local Government Area.
Di Governor tell di corpers say dem for open dia heart to di culture of peace, unity and hospitality wey Akwa Ibom people dey known for. E say dia posting to di state no be only opportunity to work, but na also chance to contribute something meaningful to di communities wey dem go serve.
Governor Eno describe Akwa Ibom as one of di peaceful and welcoming states for Nigeria, and e encourage di corpers make dem respect di local culture, connect with di people and take part actively for community development.
E say, “We dey expect una to help make dis culture of hospitality, peace and unity even stronger throughout una service year for here.”
Di Governor also remind di corpers about di reason why government create di NYSC scheme for 1973, especially to promote national unity, national integration, community development and skills acquisition among young Nigerian graduates.
According to am, di state government go continue to support di corpers, especially those wey dem post go schools, hospitals and other important public institutions, because dia service fit contribute to di implementation of di state government development programmes under di ARISE Agenda.
Governor Eno also point out say some former NYSC members wey serve for Akwa Ibom don make strong contributions and receive recognition because of dia outstanding performance.
E therefore challenge di new corpers make dem also work hard and leave dia own positive mark before dem finish dia service year.
Di Governor describe Akwa Ibom as a peaceful and developing state wey dey gradually strengthen im position as a tourism destination, while assuring di corpers say di people of di state ready to welcome dem like family.
E encourage dem make dem participate for local activities, learn from di people and make good use of di opportunities wey dey available during dia stay.
Governor Eno tell dem say, “Make una take dis place as una own state. If una behave like that, people go accept una as true Akwa Ibom person.”
Di Governor also express hope say di relationship wey di corpers build with Akwa Ibom fit continue even after dia NYSC service. According to am, some of dem fit later find work, get business opportunities, marry or establish other permanent connections for di state.
