One person was killed and three others were kidnapped by gunmen in the Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, including two community leaders, according to the Police Command.
SP, the command’s spokeswoman, Monday in Bauchi, Ahmed Wakil confirmed the development.

He stated that the attackers attacked the Balma community late on Saturday, killing one person and kidnapping three others, including two community leaders.
According to Wakil, the two community leaders were the ward head of the Bakutumbu community and the village head of the Balma community.
According to the spokesperson, the command received a report on Sunday from its Balma outpost that gunmen had attacked the village.
He stated, “They shot randomly and took the village head, Alhaji Hussaini Saleh, who is 48 years old,” and “they took him away.”

He said, “One Haruna Jibrin was, in any case, shot in the head by the shooters.
“A team was drafted to the scene when the police received the distress call. They rescued the victim and rushed him to General Hospital, Ningi, where he received treatment but was later found to be dead.
“At the moment, the police in Ningi Division are combing the bush to see if they can save the two community leaders who were kidnapped alive.”
The spokesperson urged citizens to always report suspicious person movements to security agencies for prompt action.
