Hon. Dr. Kelvin Ighodaro Eguakun Mourns the Passing of Dr. Solomon Ehigiator Arase

The Executive Chairman of Egor Local Government Council, Hon. Dr. Kelvin Ighodaro Eguakun, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Dr. Solomon Ehigiator Arase, retired Inspector-General of Police and former Chairman of the Police Service Commission, describing his death as a monumental loss to Edo State and Nigeria at large.

In his tribute, Hon. Eguakun hailed Dr. Arase as a distinguished son of Edo and a patriotic Nigerian who served the nation with exceptional dedication, integrity, and professionalism. He noted that the late elder statesman made invaluable contributions to national security, police reforms, and public service, leaving behind indelible footprints in the country’s history.

According to him, Edo State has lost one of its finest gems a leader whose legacy of humility, courage, and patriotism will continue to inspire generations to come.

On behalf of the government and people of Egor Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Kelvin Ighodaro Eguakun conveyed heartfelt condolences to the Arase family, the government and people of Edo State, and the Nigerian nation.

“May the noble soul of our departed elder statesman find eternal rest, and may God grant his family and loved ones the strength to bear this painful loss,” he prayed.
