A hunter known only as Femi was discovered dead in a forest in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State, with apparent bullet wounds. According to state police, Femi had gone hunting on Friday with a man named Taoreed but did not return home.
Concerned by his absence, Femi’s wife alerted the village head, who organized a search. The search team later found Femi’s body in the forest, showing gunshot wounds on his back, with his hunting rifle beside him.
Further suspicion arose when it was discovered that Taoreed, who accompanied Femi, had fled the village with his family. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident. Femi’s body was taken to the State Hospital in Ijebu-Ode for an autopsy.
