Meet Ex-International and coach Peter Ijeh who took over as Manager/Technical Adviser of Division Two team in Sweden he spoke with Obaland Magazine reporter Chidinma Tijani about his new job and more.
With a vibrant playing football career and numerous top UEFA coaching badges Coach Peter Ijeh he is overqualified according to another Nigeria coach Daniel Kakwi.
Coach Ijeh said he is looking forward to emulating Emmanuel Amuneke and other great coaches. When footballers play on the pitch they have one focus to win and enjoy the best on the field of play.
He added that there are a series of engagements players get into when they retire. It ranges from becoming football scouts, pundits, managers, or getting into football administration or better doing other businesses not related to football.
Peter Ijeh who had a little close to ten caps for Nigeria is on that path of becoming a renowned football coach like his predecessors Emmanuel Amuneke and other great coaches.
The former Julius Berger star who had his best moments in the Scandinavian countries playing for the likes of Malmö FF and IFK Goteborg in Sweden and also Viking in Norway amongst others would have his hands full should he get any engagement with Nigeria.
A graduate of the University of Gothenburg in Sweden where he also did his coaching license Ijeh should not find it difficult engaging youngsters in Nigeria since his early footballing years were in Nigeria , Coach Daniel Kakwi concluded.
